The Living Library at Hilmarfestivalen

The Living Library is a library where the books are people.

Here, you'll meet individuals with unique life stories.

As a visitor, you'll register upon arrival and choose the "living book" you'd like to borrow. You'll then be introduced to your chosen book for an exclusive 20-minute conversation, where they will share different chapters from their own life story.

This is a unique opportunity and a wonderful space for meaningful human connection.

The Living Library is a collaboration between SJ Norge, Steinkjer Library, Friby – Dialogue Centre, and Hilmarfestivalen.

Where & When

Saturday, 9 November 2024

The experience begins onboard the train departing Trondheim Central Station at 9:17 AM for Steinkjer. The event then continues at Steinkjer Library.

Participation is free of charge, but you must book a ticket with SJ NORD on this departure to take part in the Living Library on the train.
