My First Solo Exhibition

Some moments stay with you forever.

The opening of Steinkjer Pride Art at Steinkaret, Steinkjer Cultural Centre was one of those moments.

Before the exhibition opened, I was excited. I had seen a short video while the exhibition was being installed, and I knew it was going to look good. But nothing could have prepared me for what it felt like to walk into the space for the first time.

Seeing my drawings enlarged as digital displays alongside the original artworks was both surreal and deeply moving. For a moment, it was difficult to believe that the work filling the room was my own.

As visitors spent time with the portraits, I realised something I had hoped for but never truly understood until then: my drawings had the ability to move people.

That was the moment I knew I was exactly where I was meant to be.
