Who is Lars Emmanuel Hølaas

Lars Emmanuel has enjoyed drawing his entire life. As a child, he would sit in the stairwell at home drawing Donald Duck illustrations. He began studying art at the age of 18, but never found an institution that taught the exact drawing approach he was looking for. He has always been focused on detail and on creating drawings so lifelike that it feels as if the person depicted is standing in front of you

In 2022, he purchased a hyperrealism drawing course by Kelvin Okafor. This opened up a completely new world for Lars Emmanuel, and the same year he participated in his first international exhibition at the Holy Art Gallery in London. In 2024, he held his first solo exhibition with great success. In 2025, he was accepted as a member of the Norwegian Drawing Association and the Norwegian Visual Artists Association.
